Product Margin Tracker.
See which SKUs are getting squeezed as costs rise faster than prices.
About this template
Tracks landed cost and selling price side by side for every SKU and shows gross margin moving month over month. Cost data imports straight from the buying spreadsheet you already keep, so there is no new system to feed. The squeeze view flags products where costs climbed but prices stayed flat, and a what-if column shows the price change needed to restore your target margin.
The live demo ships with sample data: 50 SKUs with 12 months of monthly landed cost and selling price history. A handful have costs up 15 to 30 percent against unchanged prices, so the squeeze flags and margin erosion charts tell a clear story.
The prompt behind this template
This is the exact description the Prized agent built it from. Yours can be one sentence: the agent fills in the rest, and you refine from there.

Build a product margin tracker for the finance lead at Wren Hollow Home Goods, a kitchenware and home retailer with about 50 active SKUs. Layout. Top: four stat cards: Blended gross margin (44.6 percent), Margin change versus a year ago (down 3.1 points), SKUs below the 45 percent target (14 of 48), Squeezed SKUs flagged (9). Second region, two charts side by side: a line chart of blended gross margin percent by month over the last 12 months with a dashed target line at 45 percent, drifting from 47.7 down to 44.6; and a multi-line chart of margin percent for the six most squeezed SKUs over the same months, each line clearly sliding. Third region, the SKU table with two tabs: All SKUs and Squeeze view. Columns: SKU code, product, category, landed cost today, cost change over 12 months, price today, price change over 12 months, margin today, margin a year ago, margin delta, and, in Squeeze view only, a what-if column showing the new price needed to restore the 45 percent target. Default sort is margin delta, worst first. Row badges: red for squeezed (cost up more than 10 percent, price flat, margin under target), amber watch (margin down 2 to 5 points), green healthy. Data. Seed 48 SKUs across five categories (cast iron and enamelware, glassware, utensils, textiles, small appliances) with landed cost and selling price both today and a year ago; costs run $4 to $60 and prices $12 to $149. Also seed 12 monthly blended margin points for the trend chart, and full monthly cost, price, and margin history for the six spotlight squeezed SKUs. The story: cast iron and enamelware costs rose 15 to 30 percent while prices never moved, so items like the 5.5 quart Dutch oven fell from 49 percent margin to 35 percent; most other categories held steady. Behavior. Margins, deltas, squeeze flags, and what-if prices are all computed; only costs and prices are entered. A member-only dialog lets the lead update a SKU's current cost or price, and every derived number recalculates. Filters: a category select and a below-target-only toggle. The table and charts must render complete and convincing for read-only visitors. Visual identity: use a plum accent for primary actions, chart emphasis, and active tabs, on a clean light neutral base.
