About this template

An equipment register that tracks each machine's hour meter, service intervals, and full service history, then computes what is due soon based on hours logged since the last PM. Charts show maintenance cost per machine so the excavator that eats money stands out. Built for machine fleets tracked today on a clipboard in the shop.

The live demo ships with sample data: A 12-machine fleet of excavators, skid steers, and dump trucks with hour meter readings, 250 and 500 hour service intervals, 18 months of service records with costs, and two machines overdue for a PM.

The prompt behind this template

This is the exact description the Prized agent built it from. Yours can be one sentence: the agent fills in the rest, and you refine from there.

Show the full prompt

Build an equipment hour meter and service log for Redline Sitework, an excavation and grading contractor in Boise whose shop manager currently tracks a 12-machine fleet on a clipboard. Layout. Across the top, four stat cards: fleet machines (12), due for service soon (3), overdue (2), and maintenance spend over the last 18 months (about $86,400). Below that, a full-width bar chart of maintenance cost per machine over the last 18 months, sorted highest first, so the machine that eats money is obvious at a glance. The main region is a split view. On the left, the machine register lists every unit with its number, make and model, type badge (excavator, skid steer, dump truck), current hour meter, hours since last service, a progress meter toward the next interval, and a status chip. Selecting a machine fills the right panel with its detail: current meter and next service due, a service history timeline of dated entries with type (250 hour, 500 hour, repair), shop notes, and cost, and a small line chart of meter readings over time. Two buttons in the detail header open dialogs to log a meter reading or a service entry. Data. Seed 12 machines: five excavators, four skid steers, three dump trucks, with realistic makes and unit numbers like EX-104 and DT-302, hour meters between 1,200 and 9,600. Service intervals are 250 hours minor and 500 hours major. Seed about 45 service records across the last 18 months with costs from $180 to $4,800 and short notes, plus recent meter readings for every machine. Plant the story: excavator EX-104 has burned nearly three times the fleet median in repair costs from recurring hydraulic failures, and it is also 40 hours past its 250 hour service; dump truck DT-302 is 15 hours overdue as well, and three more machines sit within 25 hours of a service. Behavior. Hours since last service and next due are computed from the meter and the most recent service; users only enter readings and service entries. Status colors: green when more than 25 hours remain, amber within 25 hours, red overdue. Default sort is most urgent first. Everything must render complete from the seeded history alone. Style. Use a plum accent for primary actions, progress meters, and the selected machine, on a light neutral base with a tidy workshop ledger feel.
